Texunion is a French-owned textile and garment manufacturing company with a division specifically devoted to military developments. It is believed the firm assisted the German company Marquardt and Schultz to develop the Bundeswehr flecktarn camouflage pattern for the 1976 Truppenversuch (German Army Trials of 1976).

In 1981 and 1983, Texunion submitted proposals for two flecktarn-like camouflage patterns to be considered by the French military. Neither were adopted, but can be seen below.
